Borras back on site at Merchant Taylors’ School
Borras are once again proud to be working on site at Merchant Taylors’ School. One of the ‘Great Nine’ schools of England, Merchant Taylors’ has been providing an outstanding education to boys since 1561 from their stunning 285 acre site in Northwood.
We initially began our relationship with Merchant Taylors’ in 2005 when our General Contracts team successfully delivered a new £4.7m Design & Technology building. This was then followed by a £765k refurbishment project in 2016 which provided new state-of-the-art History teaching facilities.
The Design & Technology Building we delivered in 2015.
January 2018 saw us set up site for a third time. Once again teaming up with Architects Architecture PLB and consultants Trogal Griffin Associates, this time to deliver a new £2.2m Geography Building. Once complete the new building will provide first aid facilities, office space and 2 classrooms on the ground floor, a staff room, meeting room, resource room and 2 I.T enabled classrooms on the first floor and a further two classrooms on the second floor.
Groundwork’s are currently taking place and progressing well (pictured above) with the entire build anticipated to last 47 weeks. Check back for future updates from site!
Showed great attention to detail and clearly understood what the school was trying to achieve, in particular, with regard to the quality of the finish.
