Borras donate to Centre 33

Centre 33 is a drop-in centre located in St Albans where homeless and socially or materially disadvantaged people can go to relax, be social and enjoy a free meal or drink in a friendly, welcoming environment. Founded in 1977 and run entirely by volunteers they have previously won the prestigious Queens Award for Voluntary Service and deal with thousands of visits each year.

Borras first became aware of Centre 33 last Christmas during our St Albans Kitchen and Bathroom upgrade scheme when we donated food to them. Again this year we were given a list of required food which was distributed amongst the Borras staff; donations from staff together with £250 worth of food on behalf of Borras Construction resulted in a huge amount of supplies.

Mr Barratt from the Centre visited our head office to receive the donations; he was taken aback by the amount, and to our delight informed us of how much it would help over the busy Christmas period.
