Borras Start on Site at Palmers Green Library

Work is now under-way at Palmers Green Library following the handing over of the keys by Councillor Ayfer Orhan to Borras Site Manager Stuart Aylieff.

The major refurbishment and remodelling scheme to the library includes part demolition followed by the construction of a new entrance and stair case resulting in much improved facilities offering a wider range of books and computers to the general public.

Cllr Orhan had this to say at the handing over ceremony “There will be areas for people to study and search for jobs. It will be a lively centre for learning, training and children’s fun”.

The £2.3m scheme on behalf of Enfield Council is due for completion summer 2015, below is an artist impression of the finished first floor.
