Borras Win Building Excellence Award
Borras are proud to announce we have been awarded the ‘Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development’ project for the Central region at the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Building Excellence Awards.
The LABC Building Excellence awards span across England and Wales and Celebrate the essence of good building; they award projects that display technical excellence, innovation, green and sustainable practices, good team working with local authorities and creative problem solving. The LABC is split into 12 regions and 13 different award categories.
Borras received the award for our Special Works project ‘Westminster House’ (above), a specialist care home for children up to the age of 18 in Milton Keynes. The scheme, which was completed in February 2013, saw Borras work in partnership with Stenton Obhi Architects and Hewitt Freeborn Associates to deliver the new build home for Milton Keynes Council.
This success now places us in the grand final in November, along with the other regional winners.
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are keen to reassure our employees, clients, project stakeholders and supply-chain partners, that we are taking the necessary precautions in relation to a healthy working environment across our sites and operations.
