Senior Management Team

Rae Borras

Chairman

Rae initially trained as a surveyor with a national construction company achieving Surveying Director status after 13 years and formed Borras Construction in 1980. Rae has amassed a considerable amount of expertise within the industry and is heavily involved with the promotion of training and health & safety.

Mike Howlett

Managing Director

Mike is a qualified chartered builder who has been in the industry for over 30 years with extensive production and commercial experience on all types of contracts.

He has held senior positions with a number of national contractors and has a proven ability of maintaining high levels of health and safety and completing projects to budget, on time and to a high standard and customer satisfaction.

Adrian Wake

Special Works Director

Adrian has in excess of 27 years experience in the industry, starting his career as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, now responsible for overseeing and managing the Borras Special Works Division. Special Works is a dynamic division of Borras Construction, undertaking bespoke, often fast track or specialist construction projects.  The teams experience and flexibility to quickly adapt to various  types of work adds value to the construction process and is valued by our clients.

Mark Lennard

Director

Mark joined the group in 1989 and has spent his working career within the construction industry. His in-depth knowledge of the company’s requirements allows him to define the long term; purchasing, IT, administration and accreditation polices needed to achieve our aims and objectives. Robert Broadfield

London Division Director

Robert has worked in the construction industry for 30 years, training as a Quantity Surveyor for main contractors, before senior management positions. He has very good communication and problem solving skills, with an excellent commercial sense that has provided added value to our clients. He has all round ability and has been involved in a range of projects, both new build, refurbishment and fit-out, exposing himself to a variety of different contracts.

Kane Blatchford

HSQE Director

Kane is responsible for Health, Safety and Quality measures across the business. Kane has over 15 years’ experience of Business Management Systems in various organisations including regional, national and international construction organisations. As a member of the British Standards Health and Safety Specialist Team, Kane helped to develop our OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard) accreditations. Kane has also become a qualified Mental Health First Aider, delivering courses teaching in depth skills for providing First Aid to people who may be experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and psychosis.
