Progress at Merchant Taylors’
Merchant Taylors’ School is an independent day school for boys which was first established in 1561. Borras were awarded the contract to construct a new two storey 1,800m2 building and began on site in March 2014.
The design sensitively complements the adjacent Grade II listed school buildings and surrounding green belt landscape. It will serve as the schools new Design and Technology Block and will be linked to an existing structure. Additional works comprise the construction of a car park, service/loading bay, footpaths and landscaping.
Special considerations such as new walkways around the school grounds have been put in place to ensure minimum disruption to the everyday activities of the school.
The projects progress can be seen below in a time lapse video, completion is due summer 2015.
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are keen to reassure our employees, clients, project stakeholders and supply-chain partners, that we are taking the necessary precautions in relation to a healthy working environment across our sites and operations.
