The Treaty Centre
CLIENT: The London Borough of Hounslow
QUANTITY SURVEYOR: Carillion
CONTRACT PERIOD: 23 Weeks
This contract on behalf of the London Borough of Hounslow involved the creation of a new Community Resource Centre (CRC) and the relocation of several Adult Education Classrooms within The Treaty Centre, a shopping centre in Hounslow.
The new CRC offers flexible, affordable office accommodation, virtual office solutions and a range of meeting and 1-2-1 room facilities.
The works which spanned a 23 week period were split into three phases to ensure minimum disruption to both the live retail environment and the local library which is within the centre, and was the new location for the adult classrooms. Internal hoarding was erected within the library to ensure works remained separate and out of view from members of the public.
The project scored above national average on the Considerate Constructors Scheme with assessors commenting that “it is very clear that the site have developed a very positive image with the centre’s staff in minimising the impact of the works on their operations”.
