At Borras Construction, we’re committed to delivering works efficiently, whilst understanding the vision of our clients and their communities. The project, carried out in partnership with Broxbourne Borough Council, involved extensive planning and delivery to achieve the completed new build development.
The initial works carried out here involved the demolition of three local shops, providing the adequate space needed to accommodate resident parking spaces and rear gardens for the ground floor flats. The scope of works included a new build, two storey development of four flats and landscaping to the surrounding area. The project was completed over a single phase, works commenced in September 2017, following through to July 2018, totalling a duration of
10 months.
One of the challenges we faced throughout the works was the delivery of resources and materials. Our Borras Special Works team, who carry out smaller and often fast track projects were responsible for minimising any risk to the job throughout. With a school and community centre both in close proximity, deliveries were made through a road to the rear of the development, avoiding the school and community centre, keeping local traffic to a minimum.
