Wellingborough Homes fourth phase of external improvement works consisted of 20 separate apartment blocks across 6 locations, equating to over 170 properties. The £1.2m scheme was completed by our specialist Residential Division and followed on from the successful delivery of phase 3 in 2014.
Replacement balcony balustrades, new windows, brickwork repairs and the introduction of timber cladding and coloured render to the buildings existing facades noticeably improved the blocks external aesthetics. Properties also underwent significant roofing improvement works and communal areas were improved with new external doors and the installation of new electronic intercom systems.
Externally, existing parking areas were re-tarmacked, new garage blocks and bin stores were constructed and new boundary fencing was erected. A large amount of block paving was also replaced, complimented by surrounding soft landscaping works which included the planting of low level shrubbery and hedgerows.
Consultations with the project’s Resident Liaison Officer, regular newsletter’s detailing progress and notice’s of major works ensured that residents were kept informed throughout and disruption was kept to a minimum.
