This scheme involved the construction of a new luxury gated development consisting of four 5 bedroom detached houses in Cuffley, Hertfordshire.
Twenty two meters of clay underneath the topsoil of the site meant the originally planned strip foundations were not suitable. Instead 274 piles were required during the groundwork stages of the properties and surround retaining and perimeter walls.
Extensive amounts of landscaping were required to create the new access road and plots for the properties. The steep gradient of the site coupled with storm drain run off from neighbouring properties and the clay soil made this a particularly challenging task, in total 675 muck away lorries were needed for the scheme.
The chalet bungalow style homes all feature 4 bathrooms, open plan living/dining spaces, high specification fitted kitchens, secluded garden terraces and stunning double height glazed entrance hallways, complete with solid oak staircases.
Located off an existing street and accessed through a newly installed remote security gate the development also boasts low-level street lighting, wireless alarm systems and block paved driveways.
