Borras Residential Division completed this project as part of the London Borough of Southwark’s Warm, Dry & Safe Programme in March 2016.

The Warm, Dry & Safe Programme is similar to the Decent Homes Standard, a standard that the government requires for all properties. Homes across the Borough received various improvement works to ensure they are well insulated, heated, secure and of a good condition, in order to meet the standard.

Borras were successfully awarded the package to fit new kitchens and bathrooms to properties and began on site in September 2015. Over the 22 week long programme 68 properties across four separate apartment blocks received work, with some getting a new kitchen, a new bathroom or in most cases, both.

Resident Liaison Officers were on site at all times and held consultations at the start of work in each property to determine colour, worktop and unit preferences. Additionally smoke alarms were fitted to properties and minor electrical works carried out.
