Work begins at St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School
A ground-breaking ceremony has taken place to mark the start of our £1.9m extension project at St Andrew’s CoE Primary School in North Weald, Essex.
Representatives from Pick Everard and Barker Associates, who are working with Borras to deliver the scheme, where joined by teacher’s and pupil’s from the school and Father James Rodley to watch as Headteacher Julie Lorkins broke ground for the first time, symbolically marking the commencement of works.

The design and build project, which is on behalf of Essex County Council, involves the construction of a classroom block extension, internal remodelling of the main school building and an extension to the existing main hall.
The works will extend the school to create a further 105 places, increasing the school’s capacity from 315 to 420 over seven years at an additional 15 pupils per year.
Our General Contracts Division are handling the project working alongside Pick Everard and Barker Associates, completion is scheduled for September 2016.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Borras to any other school and will be happy to include them on any tender list for future projects at Richard Hale School.
