Work well underway at Cassiobury Park
Works, which began on 22nd February 2016, are now in full swing and progressing well at our £4.9m restoration project at Cassiobury Park in Watford.
Our site compound is now established and fencing and hoarding has been erected throughout the park, effectively segregating the public from the areas currently under construction. A temporary, timber haul road has also been laid providing access from the entrance to our site offices in the heart of the park.
Foundations of the new ‘Hub Building’ in progress
Work to the new eco-friendly ‘Hub Building’ which will home a cafe, exhibition rooms, educational facilities, toilets and changing facilities is also underway, with the foundations for the substructure currently in progress. All earth removed in order to make way for the new build is being stored elsewhere on site for reuse later in the project.
More information on the project, which is on behalf of Watford Borough Council and scheduled for completion in early 2017, can be found here.
Borras fitted into this extremely well and it made a potentially difficult construction process a pleasant and successful experience.
